Second Annual Nick Rauser Memorial 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk Saturday June 12, 2010 Bretton Ridge Park, North Olmsted
It’s almost spring and you know what that means…time to get ready for summer clothes and the second annual Nicholas Rauser 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk. This year’s race will be held on Saturday, June 12th at Bretton Ridge Park in North Olmsted, same location as last year.
If you are a beginner, here is a link for some helpful hints and tips. You can be ready in as little as eight weeks! If you are a seasoned runner you may want to tweak your skills. We gave out a LOT of hardware last year and plan to do the same this year. Top male and female over all received dinner for two at Brio in Crocker Park, a one night stay at Candlewood Suites and a gift certificate for a massage from Five Seasons. Still not convinced? You can always do the one mile walk! Every child who participated received an award ribbon at the finish line.
After the awards ceremony there was a pick-Nick with an abundance of food and beverages and fun games with MORE great prizes for all ages. We had so much food left we donated it to the local food bank. We had a fantastic turn out! Over 450 people! Thanks to all the generous donations and tireless volunteers we had lots of positive feedback. One of the participants even said, “This is the best race I have ever been to!” So come and join us with your friends and family. You’ll be doing something good for yourself and your community and have a great time doing it!
